Blind Through the Chaos

"In the midst of chaos and uncertainty, it can feel as though we are stumbling through life without direction. Faith provides a guiding light, offering hope and clarity even when the path ahead seems unclear. The process of this painting was highly intuitive. It began with the creation of a Cubist-inspired figure, after which I experimented with layering different mediums, including spray paint, oil sticks, and acrylic paint. As the piece evolved, a second figure emerged, resembling someone being blindfolded. The two figures contrast each other stylistically, creating a dialogue within the composition that reflects tension, perspective, and layered meaning. In this piece, I was inspired by street art and fascinated by artists like Basquiat, who layered images to create dynamic, textured compositions. The painting depicts a distressed figure in the background, almost as if yelling, with a blindfolded figure layered on top. The chaotic energy surrounding the two figures represents uncertainty and struggle. The work symbolizes the role of faith trusting in a path forward despite not knowing the outcome. For me, this piece reflects the connection between faith and my journey with mental health, illustrating how belief can guide us through moments of chaos."
