"The “Bizarre Love Triangle” Collection was inspired by nostalgia of the 80’s, my favorite decade and era of my youth. The series captures the fun, energetic and upbeat spirit of the Golden Age of pop culture. Abstract shapes are featured in vibrant pastels and neons, reflecting the hues of art, fashion and media of the time. Multiple layers of heavy-bodied acrylics (in mint, blue, green, yellow, violet, pinks) are built upon one another to create depth and texture. Various tools, such as palette knives and different sized brushes were used. The pieces are embellished with gold foil."
