Abstract 1
"This abstract was created as a series when I spent two months at my mentor's studio in Central Oregon. The roads I walked in that area reminded me so much of my childhood in rural Pennsylvania and Illinois. I enjoyed horses, goats, donkeys, cows, and other animals typical to the area. But it was the telephone poles and fencing along the road and between properties that helped establish a rhythm to my walking, even when it felt difficult, while engendering a feeling of nostalgia for simpler times."
