Philip Ma has shown his artistic talents since his childhood, he discovered he could present himself freely with arts whereas he could not otherwise. He is extremely sensitive to lines, colors, and perspectives of the environment, and able to translate what he observes and how he feels in visual art forms with profound depths and details.

His artwork has embraced multi-cultural influences coming from his second-generation immigrant background and the community he lives in. He believes art has many aspects and should not have any boundary. It’s global and timeless which he sees and feels then express in his own way. Most recently, he started painting a series of artwork themed “Beautiful Cities Around the World” to celebrate different cities in their own unique cultural accents and natural attractions. He finds most satisfaction and tranquility in articulating them with his paintbrushes and canvas.

Philip has advanced himself by overcoming many obstacles to expand his art appreciation through private and formal art education. His dedication in arts has earned him recognition from local schools and community. In return, he cares and devotes his time to the local library, homeless sheltered kids, and community earth day events. This connection has been pushing him to create more artwork every day with exceptional joy and fulfillment.

Philip believes visual arts can serve as the form of his continuous creativity and imagination.
