Where I Can Find You

"After going through a series of personal losses in the last two years, I found myself drawn to concepts of connection and relationship. Where I Can Find You is an abstract landscape populated with swallows, a bird I often use to symbolize the human spirit. Each pair of swallows in the painting is connected by an embroidered arc symbolizing the connections we carry to each other. It felt important to me in this season to meditate on the idea that our relationships with each other are something more than physical, that our spirits know each other and continue to carry tethers for one another in spite of distance or separation."
