Through the Trees

"This painting is inspired by the coast of Lake Huron in Southern Ontario. This area has been an important place for me and the landscape continues to inspire much of my work. I began this piece by laying out the general composition using goldenrod and black walnut dye. From there, I used a variety of reference images to create the final abstract landscape with trees in the foreground, and the lake peeking through in the background."
