The Way I Am

"I embrace the way I am, with all my imperfections and flaws. This painting was was created using my non dominant right arm, a process both challenging and freeing at the same time. I started the process writing the lyrics of the song"The Way I Am" by Staind in a tapestry of words. I then outlined and layered the lyrics with intuitive arching brushstokes over and over again until the lyrics dissolved. What remains is the accumulation of doing something difficult, and embracing the beauty and flaws together."
