"...As I closed my eyes to breathe deeply, holding my brush in new ways, calmness settled in. The shapes started looking like blobby birds and a spark of joy and hope suddenly washed through me!
Sobbing in defeat became giggling –“it’s a flower-transformed-bird-flower critter!”.
I was one with all of it; the grief and the joy, the loss and the new.
Something in my spirit healed that day and the beginning of “We are One” came singing...
“When I can accept what is right here and now, I can be for the joy of being me. I can let my imagination
fly free! –I can accept what isn’t possible and not be giving up.
Within the boundaries of my limitations there can be freedom. I can both fall and I can persevere.
These grief-striking moments come back every so often, especially when our losses become part of our daily lives. What is ever-changing, is growing able to heal a little bit each time; in a space of acceptance, adapting and love.
This scarf is a reminder of strength to go through what feels hard in the most accepting and loving way possible, surrounded by radiant echoes, morning songs and brand new roots!"
