"This representational abstract provides an almost kaleidoscopic depiction of a day at the shore. This fragmented salad view is not unfamiliar to those of us with retinal or macular vision issues. We see small parts of the view in front of us, then we scan for more pieces, and finally, put all the pieces together in our mind's eye to arrive at a composite whole. It's never quite accurate, but it's always interesting. Color palette is predominantly shades of blue, with sandy tones, and white accents. Techniques of interest include layering, mark making, repetition, and transparent color washes."
