Reaching for Peace II
"I was given a specific minimal color palette by a high school student to see what kind of painting I could create within the copper acrylic ink lines. This challenge of making the minimal colors work together in this linear pattern was interesting and hard. The copper acrylic ink was dripped and before it could dry, there was some tapping on the sides to create some sideway drips which created a little more of a pattern rather than just straight lines. The lines and soft color shapes reach for the sky. With the world being in chaos these days, I felt the lines and colors were reaching for the sky and peace."
