"Meditation in Motion is an exploration of colors and form.
I had a general idea of what colors I wanted to use - particularly the plum & wine colors. The rest took shape organically as I gave myself permission to explore this space.
It feels like I'm exploring movement with every color and every brush stroke. It starts with round brush & one color - plum, in this case.
I "walk" my brush strokes forward, one at a time, taking care to keep my brush strokes as uniform as possible, making only subtle shifts in my handling of the brush. It's something I learned to do years ago as a teenager, attempting to teach myself Chinese watercolor painting techniques from a painting kit I got from a Scholastic book fair."
