Chaser

"This duo began as a rework of one piece (what turned out as "Runner"). I eventually found myself peeling a gorgeous skin of paint and ink off the surface and flipping it upside down to create another piece, which became "Chaser." As I did this, I noticed the mirroring between each side, the heart present in "Chaser," and all sorts of raw things I can't quite put into words but were felt by my hands and my spirit in the hours put into the work. I tied the two together with more symbolism by adding a red thread of fate connecting the hearts in both paintings. They each wind through their own individual journeys but remain connected."
