Abundance of Happiness
"This artwork, Abundance of Happiness, is a part of a collection that is connected to the theme of sustainability. I incorporated textile waste scraps from New York City fashion houses into this painting. I used free-motion sewing to express my spontaneous mark making. Creating this art was an intuitive process led by my feelings of happiness. As I painted, I engaged in contemplative meditation about all the gratitude that I feel in my life. Despite the many challenges that I have faced throughout my life, especially around my health—-there is so much that I am grateful for."
