McAuley House

McAuley Ministries is an independent non-profit organization sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and rooted in the ideals of their founder, Catherine McAuley. Our ministry provides the basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, health services, emotional support and guidance to the most vulnerable in our community. We are comprised of three special ministries: McAuley House, the meal site and social service center; McAuley Village, transitional living for single moms and children; The Warde-robe, a thrift store for the working poor.

Our core values are hospitality, compassion, and dignity and are embraced and practiced by all as we care for our neighbors in need. McAuley House offers a host of support services such as rental assistance, toiletries, clothing, prescription assistance, and referrals. Guests also are invited to participate in a number of enrichment programs, which provide support, healing, and engagement. One very special program is our weekly Art Class during which our guests enjoy the opportunity to express themselves through art in a non-judgmental, therapeutic atmosphere under the guidance of our wonderful art therapist, Kathy King.
