"The third series of black and white drawings I've entitled "The Illumination Series" begins with "Darkness And Light 1" . . . The intention is to provide the viewer with the opportunity to consider black and white from a spiritual perspective . . . in terms of "The Darkness" and "The Light."

Pursuing and attaining spiritual knowledge has long been referred to as "Enlightenment" . . . and "Illumination" refers not only to the physical lighting of an area but also to spiritual awareness, knowledge or insight.

To quote one of my all-time favorite authors, Marianne Williamson, "Spiritual practice heals us, bringing down Light to the regions of our Darkness" . . .

The "Darkness And Light" Series provides a way for the viewer to perceive the duality of life . . . And to be reminded that even the Darkest of nights will always be illumined by the Dawn . . .
