Through the Clouds

"The mountains have had a profound influence on my life. They have brought me energy, inspiration, and comfort. In the mountains, I feel at home, and at peace. In this series, I use my lines in a much softer way to evoke depth and calmness. In this piece, I explored a different technique inspired by an artist I deeply admire (Susannah Bleasby). Without copying her work, I had fun creating a sky very different from my usual gradients—yet still very enveloping. The texture comes from the fact that it was originally another painting that I completely repainted."
