The Willowing Knot

"This knot was part of a series of 6. I have 100s of knot designs. Most of them are still only in pencil form, but ready to ink and paint. This is made from one infinite line - with no beginning or end - with seven petals - that crosses itself 119 times. Starting with pencil lines, I used Indian ink to line the work. Then I added the webbing - the wee bits of dirt in each corner where lines cross. Then watercolor."
