"This is a landscape of the view where I recently moved to, where Anacostia and the Potomac River meet, and this is a watery landscape with many layers of transparency and subtle shades of blue and green. This was my second painting of the view from my window in my new place (minus the airport). I have always seen the city of Washington, DC as a place of two rivers, rocky creeks and close by waterfalls. This one is more subdued and moody. I have always been a nature girl. I have always loved these rivers where I live. Water is life-giving and the sky is infinite possibilities and mystery."
