Horizons I
"One of my favorite poems is Emily Dickinson's "Hope." In the quiet winter months of 2025, watching my community begin the attempt to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helene, I found myself drawn to birds as a subject. "Horizons" shows a turbulent foreground of swirling grasses and flowers leading to a layered background of mountains, creeping mist, and growing light. It shows the audacity of believing that even after intense hardship, there is still good to come."
