"With this piece, I just wanted to go for it with intuitive mark-making. Using paint, pastels, wax crayon and image transfer from magazine pages, I introduced a number of disparate elements and then tried to find the way they naturally work together. While I was at it, a series of numerals and grid forms came along, which helped tie the piece together. I like to think these elements invite reflection on our relationship with technology (AI has been on my, and everyone's, mind lately), and how it can both challenge our thinking and leave "after-images" in our consciousness. Simply put, how is our technology changing our humanness?"
