Cracked Earth #32

"These works are from my Cracked Earth series of textural mixed media paintings with found rope and bits of other discarded materials. My painting's cracked and fissured surfaces represent the damage being done to our planet. The contrast of smooth and cracked surfaces reminds me of natural formations on the earth's surface that are like intricate works of art. My work is meant to be a reminder of nature’s beauty, even in the face of destruction."
