"A bouquet painted from life of various flowers on a green background in a Japanese vase. Completed as part of a series on 08.15.2025. This piece was included in my exhibit 'Lilies and Friends'. I've been studying the interplay of light and color between flora in bouquets, and have found that the longer I paint the flowers from life, I see more and more color the longer I look. Because the flowers die so quickly, I've had to learn to paint them quickly. This has been a long process of studying flowers and working from life, culminating in these watercolor works."
