"Another experiment in Celtic lines that tuned out better than expected. I drew the ink lines - then this piece sat for ages unpainted - as I did not see how I might paint it. Then it came to me.
It's a rose garden. A rose bush planted firmly in the garden soil - with blue sky in the background.
Starting with pencil lines, I used Indian ink to line the work. Then I added the webbing - the wee bits of dirt in each corner where lines cross. Then watercolor."
