The Fallen

"Strong, sudden, summer storms sweep through, their fierce winds tearing at the sky and bending the stalks of the corn, sunflower, and okra plants. From the hundred-foot pines, weakened limbs crash down into the garden, scattering flowers and vegetables alike. In a single gust of winid, order dissolves into chaos. Yet even in the wreckage, there is renewal—the fallen wood gathered, transformed into fuel for the firepit."
