"For this painting, I worked entirely from memory. Rural fencerows line the roads in central Indiana and remind me of wandering in pastures at my grandmother's dairy farm. I began with a few blocks of color using natural dyes. Then I used watercolors to emphasize the blue sky and lush greens of summer."
