Stem Number 34

"From a series of works inspired by interest in learning about plant life and in particular, looking at the interior of microscopic cross-sections of stems to understand better how they are adapting to climate change. I'm fascinated by the interior beauty of their natural abstractions. The xylem and phloem weave tapestries of cellular mosaics, each vessel a tiny, stained-glass window illuminating the plant's inner architecture. The cross-section, a slice of interior life, reveals fractal patterns, where nature's artistry paints with the delicate strokes of living geometry."
