Love, Compassion, and Empathy

"This artwork, Love, Compassion & Empathy, is a part of a collection that is connected to the theme of sustainability. I incorporated textile waste scraps from New York City fashion houses into this painting. I cut, sewed and free-motion quilted the fabric scraps to make shapes. As I moved into a meditative painting trance, I felt feelings of love, belonging, connection, care and tenderness. In particular, I felt the same kind of universal love that I experienced during my out of body Near-Death Experience (NDE). This kind of love felt unconditional and deeply intertwined to the essence of existence. Looking deeply at Love, Compassion & Empathy, reminds me about messages I was told during my NDE. In particular, I remember that this kind of universal love means that we are not alone and that we are all connected."
