"The neon pink started as a fun experiment, exaggerating the wonderful, wild colors that appear during sunsets in the Southwest. I thought a lot of New Mexico and the Taos Gorge while working. This is part of my Liminal Sky series because I felt caught in a "not knowing" if I should mute the pink or leave it be; add more traditional colors vs. allowing the luminescence of neon."
