"The original piece comes with the original poem below handwritten by me on the back. This piece, like all of my work, was created intuitively. After finishing it, I spent time in what I like to call “meditating with the piece” — sitting in stillness and allowing it to speak to me. From that space, the poem emerged, inspired by the emotions I felt. The poem reflects what I see within the painting and shares my perspective with you. This work is also a reflection of my journey — how I’ve transformed all that I’ve been through and overcome into something positive, without allowing it to make me negative or angry. “An Open Heart, Mind, And Soul” An open heart, mind, And soul— A fiery passion within The journey hasn’t been smooth, But it hasn’t hardened me Here I stand With so much gratitude For what I’ve overcome For where I’ve been Not closed off Open like never before With an open heart Mind, and soul."
