Where the Heart is - Houston, TX
Through October 6th, artist and humanitarian advocate Kitty Zen and ArtLifting will be donating 50% of the profits from “Where The Heart Is - Houston, TX." The donations will go to the Salvation Army to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Special edition multiple color version prints are available.
“I want to give back to the Houston Salvation Army and help those affected by Hurricane Harvey, and this is the best way I know how. My advocacy on behalf of youth homelessness brought me to Houston last February, which was a time I will never forget. Houston is such a strong and unique city. It is welcoming, lively, colorful, and creative. What befell the city was tragic. But seeing the community come together with so much fearlessness and compassion is inspiring. I want to do what I can to help make Houston great again. Emergency services are not just needed at the immediate emergence of tragedy. HELP will be needed during the event, through reconstruction, and into the phase of solving displacement. It’s a small contribution compared to those who have risked their lives to help their neighbors. Seeing the community come together with so much fearlessness and compassion has been inspiring to me, and has brought me to tears at the same time as lifted my heart.”
