Thresholds (Chicago)
Chicago artists produce art through art programs offered through Thresholds, one of the oldest and largest providers of recovery services for persons with mental illnesses in Illinois. Thresholds works to provide healthcare, housing, and hope as well as to support and inspire people with mental illnesses to reclaim their lives, utilizing evidence-based practices and a wide range of supports to treat the whole person, rather than just the disease. This mission naturally makes the organization a natural supporter of creative programs to foster growth, self awareness, self-esteem, and community connections through the arts.
