Julia Dickinson was born in Torrance, CA in 1986. Ms. Dickinson uses art as a way to express herself and connect with others. Ms. Dickinson has been making art since she began at Claraty Arts Project in 2011 and enjoys printmaking and painting with oils because she can take time with the materials. Ms. Dickinson’s work is rich in metaphor that represents her emotions. Ms. Dickinson says, “I get to express my feelings. It’s my way of sharing what’s on the inside.” Julia gains inspiration for her metaphorical pieces from novels, anime, and movies that relate to her life experiences.read more
