Heather Adams, born in Northern California currently produces her studio art in Culver City at the UCPLA Washington Reid Gallery. Heather began exploring shapes while learning to print her name focusing on the lines and circles. Over time she expanded this concept beyond the ruled lines of the practice papers into her own style of mark making and applied it to her art.
Heather uses a variety of colored pens and paints to produce heavily layered work. Her density of line is an extension of her personality and of her spirit. Heather Adam’s mark making works act as timelines of her desires. Much of Heather Adam’s artwork is a mirage of curved and circular lines which create a tapestry woven through her expressive colorful scripts.
