"The Bixby Bridge crosses a gap in the Big Sur Mountains on the coast of California. I wanted to show the architectural beauty of this bridge and the curve of the road. To do that, I captured the red from the taillights of passing cars that cast a light on the road and surrounding hills. The red from the taillights compliment the blue dusk light in the clouds above. Several long exposures were taken and combined in this image to make the road glow in red."
