Aron is a Chicago native who enjoys creating poetry, music, songs, and visual artworks. Aron has training in architectural and computer aided drafting and attended college to study physics and graphic design, experiences that all influence his art. Aron began experiencing psychiatric distress in his mid-twenties, and, as he began recovering, was hit by a charter bus while riding his bicycle. After this accident, Aron became hypersensitive to social interaction and developed synesthesia.
Aron is currently a member of Thresholds, a mental health provider in Chicago, where he feels he has achieved a sense of stability and support and engages in individual and group art sessions. He also participates in Project Onward, an art studio in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood for artists with disabilities. Working on his art helps Aron to feel more organized in his thoughts and provides motivation for keeping his apartment clean for creating art at home.
Through his art, Aron expresses what it feels like to “live between realities so that it can become a shared experience and not something stigmatized.” He also uses art to portray how he sees people treating each other and the earth to “bring awareness to humanity.”
Aron is currently creating a non-profit called QUASAR which will enable multidisciplinary artists to connect and provide mentorship, art supplies, and financial assistance to one another.read more
