Behind Space

"This abstract painting depicts a guitar - broken down to its basic elements, and its vibrating string waves. Using basic geometric shapes and digital designs, I wanted to make something powerful and modern looking. I was inspired by my love of music and its impact in my life. I recently have been playing my father's bass guitar (sentimental) and it has been very cathartic. I enjoyed playing with the composition like a song, and added "riffs" (node-like designs on the right) and "breakdowns" (45-degree shifted designs in top left and bottom left). I named it Behind Space because it makes me think of energy waves and the unseen power that music has."
